Since Belén did not show up at Grandmas with shoes, Grandma decided that she needed some shoes and so, you know, just made a pair real quick. I so did not inherit that gene. Not only did she get a new pair of shoes, but after a major diaper blowout that warranted a bath it was so bad, she got a new outfit from one of the grandma gifts my mom had been given from a friend. Grandma-Sitting is a pretty good deal. Free Day Care + New Outfit + Custom Made New Shoes and the most important part getting to know Grandma. What a set up!

This full-time working mom gig is tough. I can honestly say that I cannot remember feeling so spent except for the days when I did crazy-long workouts when training for ridiculously long races while I was also completing my MBA. These days, I am lucky to get three workouts a week in so my fatigue is from spreading my focus between baby, husband, breastfeeding/pumping, work, housework, learning about new things that could potentially replace my full-time gig someday and I guess that is it.

An August busy with the 30 Day Challenge and being full-time working mom.

Well, I made it. I survived my first week back to work after having Belén. It was, at times, quite painful and slow and emotional, but I did it. Each day was less emotional and dramatic than the last, so let me start with Monday.

Tomorrow I return to work after a three month maternity leave.
