I figure that any blog about the Hoobing’s really needs to have poop and/or farting as one of the first topics. I am not a big fan of these topics, but Andy’s parents and sister Erin think they are hilarious…I am convinced this is because all of them have sensitive GI tracks.

Anyway, so the concern of this week was the fact that Belén had not pooped for over three days. I don’t even go that long when I am hiking in the woods and want to avoid using a log as a toilet seat. Andy called the nurse today and she said that this is perfectly normal as her little colon is developing. Probably the exact same time he was on the phone with the nurse, she was having a double blow out at daycare with three days worth of the new-and-advanced not-so-butter-popcorn-like-yellow-poo poo.

I received a call today from the Daycare Administrator that the uncle of one of the kids in the infant room has H1N1. The reality of my fears of this illness are coming closer. I wonder if we can avoid it for long enough to get the vaccine. Every time I get nervous, Andy reminds me, “it is just the flu…chill.”
