Today we took Belén to Edwards Greenhouse to meet Santa.  We tried to find a time when she would be awake for the picture with the jolly gift bearer, but with all four grandparents at breakfast before the trip to the greenhouse, sleep was elusive.  Despite planning the opposite, it turns out that she was sleepy for Santa.

We waiting in line for about 20 minutes before it was her turn with Saint Nick.  My mom and I tried to keep her entertained as she was clearly tired.

When it was our turn, I gave her to Santa and wondered how the sleepy girl would handle a strange man with a red hat and white beard.

It turns out that white beards are WAY COOL especially to grab.

Afterwards, we pursued the elusive Christmas card family photo which we have yet to procure even after many attempts.  We will keep trying.

Despite being tired she was such a trooper…she just looks much more serious than she usually is in the pictures.  She passed out literally ten seconds after being snapped into her car seat.
