Sick Den

Today started out before 1AM when Belén woke up pissed and then barfed on Andy.  We cleaned that up, settled her down and the attempted to get some shut eye.

I must have slept through my 5AM alarm to go workout because I woke up after 7AM to Andy almost ready for work.  We decided to split the day and I stayed home with Little B in the morning while he had her in the afternoon.

Things went pretty well this morning and I was even getting some smiles from a baby sans Tylenol.

And in case you thought we just laid around all morning, I am here to point out that you are sorely wrong.  Oh no, despite being under the weather, we played with toys, walked around the basement and made progress on the balancing tricks.

Even though she seemed quite a bit better, her fever was still there so I did end up giving her more Tylenol.  Strangely enough a little while afterwards she started acting much more fussy and when I put her down for her nap she was SCREAMING in a piercing fashion!  I really wished my reasoning with her (um honey, screaming is not going to make it any better) worked because it was quite trying…  This episode ended  when she barfed all over the both of us as she was breastfeeding.  She seemed to feel better after that.

Needless to say, by the time Andy showed up for his shift, I was ready for a break.

After work, I forced myself to get a few miles in on the treadmill before going home and as I was replaying my day I wondered how many people in this world were barfed on, offered someone a job and ran on a treadmill today like I did.  There cannot be very many, right?  It would be interesting to find someone else who did these activities because they seem so random.

Tomorrow morning I take Belén back to the doctor to see if this big daddy antibiotic is making progress on the double ear infection.  With the continued fever and the few pulls to her ears I am skeptical, but  we will see…
