Oh my goodness, I went looking for a video of a large group of college kids who choreographed a dance on their college campus that I remember seeing in an email awhile back…and then the Internet opened up its time sinking jaws and sucked up over an hour of my time which I have now wasted obsessively looking for the best flash mob video on youtube. I have since given up finding the original video I was looking for but decided that this is the flash mob video I must share with you. It happened in Singapore.
I actually think my very favorite is the Sound of Music number took place a train station in Belgium, but you have probably already seen that one. If not, it is a must see.
This one at the Sasquatch music festival is also pretty cool because it is spontaneous and seemingly unplanned…and it looks like true, pure FUN (and it makes me want to be in college again.)
There is just something about a flash mob that is so intriguing. I find myself scanning the crowd trying to figure out who is going to jump in next to be a part of the massive choreographic undertaking.
After my wasted time tonight, I have to admit I have a huge fascination with flash mobs and if you are ever looking to put one together, I would very much like to be a part of it.
Do you have any other favorites I am missing? The one on Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution was pretty cool and for a great cause.

I was at the Sasquatch one!!!! That never happens. It was pretty amazing to watch from the floor at the Gorge. This year at Sasquatch during the LCD Soundsystem set, everyone in the place was doing the same dance move for a bit. It warmed my heart. I haven’t looked for a video for that yet. I hope someone got it…but they were probably busy dancing.
I am so in to start a flash mob here in Boise! No more morning runs….here come morning dance sessions!
They showed the Sasquatch one at my conference. It was the first time I’d seen it.
I’d love to be part of one too. Even if I suck at dancing, I think it would be fun.
