I went for a mountain bike ride with a couple of ladies from work on Wednesday night. I wasn’t exactly sure what Andy and Belén did with their mommy-free time that night until I (along with our sisters and parents) received the following email from Andy Thursday morning.

Belén and I made a trip to Cabelas last night to pick up a couple things for the boat. We stopped by the aquariums and looked at the fish. Then we stopped by the big animal mounts and I explained to her the differences between elk, deer, bears, etc…
Cocking the gun
On the way out there was a bin of coon skin hats and pop guns. I thought it would be a good moment for a couple photos. She really liked the hat and the pop gun (of course it was the pretty pink camo version).
Not expecting the kickback

Um…no comment except that, YES we do live in Idaho. And I think her daddy is proud.
P.S. I love the American flag camp chair in the background! Why is that adorning ourselves or our furniture in the flag we are so proud of is so redneck?

Nice! I will have to show this to my Andy. He will be relieved to know that even if we have girls, he can take them on bonding trips to Cabella’s to look at weapons.
