Friday morning I went to Belén’s daycare to take pictures of her and all of her little friends dressed up for Halloween. When I arrived, all of their costumes were already on and they were all giddy. Belén was literally shrieking with joy as she ran around in her little bumblebee costume that Nana lovingly made for her.
Sure, foamy hand soap still makes me want to gag because it is THE DEVIL but pretty much nothing else sends me into near gagging mini-hysteria like perfume and cologne and food smells and toothpaste and lotions and baby poop and scented cars and sweaty bodies did less than a week ago.
Critics may point out that Alaska is not accounted for, but holy crap…did you have any idea the continent of Africa was so big? The geographic size of all of the world’s current major super powers fit into it’s surface area. I personally keep thinking about the implications (or perhaps lack their of) of this but then again, I have been known to think too much.
Now if I could only think about Africa without getting Toto’s song in my head.
Today you are 18-months old. How time flies! It seems impossible that so much time has passed since you first looked up at your dad and me with your big blue eyes. While it doesn’t seem like yesterday, almost… Now you are this adorable little girl who fits into the toddler category.
Now, we need to make them into tomato sauce before they go bad (like they did last time). Luckily Andy has a history of making excellent tomato sauce without recipe or training, because I have no clue what to do with them. I should probably spend some time on allrecipes.com tomorrow.
