The Shanghai Team

There are a few posts I have been meaning to do for awhile like my scuba certification in MAY and a couple of others including this one.  I am a bit behind…

In September, we had Andy’s co-workers from Shanghai (who were all visiting Boise and training at work for a couple of months) over for dinner.

We knew and worked with most of these people when we were living in Shanghai and it was fantastic to see them again!  Our new addition since then, Belén, was a huge hit, especially with the ladies, two of whom brought her new stuffed animals.

Andy made his famous Argentine BBQ which was daring since Chinese people generally like their meat (and vegetables) well cooked.  The team were all troopers and devoured the meat without a piece to spare.  The (raw) vegetable tray was a different story.

After dinner Andy was able to indulge his inner pyromaniac with an audience and an excuse to introduce the group to s’mores.  And yes, we do feel it our duty as Americans to expose as many foreigners as possible to the tasty American treat.

It was a fun evening and the only bummer of it was that they were all leaving the next day…good byes are always hard when people live so far away!
