Torrential Downpour

It’s kind of hard to tell from this picture, taken from the balcony of our temporary bedroom but it’s a downpour here in San Pedro, Belize. It’s supposed to rain an inch and a half today. To put that into perspective, Boise gets 10-12 inches of rain a year! We are making the most of it. We slept 10 hours last night even after taking 2-3 hour naps in the afternoon. My only fear is if I make my body aware of its sleep debt from the last 3 years I might need to sleep a month straight. My nook is loaded with plenty of books and the house is stocked with water and alcohol. Right now we are going to go brave the rain in the form of a run and see what else is going on in San Pedro. I expect the run to double as a shower.
