After a bath, teeth brushing, jammie putting oning and book reading, Belén requested a song. I asked her instead if we could talk about her day. She eagerly said, “okay.”
“So what did you do today at school?”
“Ummmm. I played with Matilda and Gracyn and Lily, Ella was not at school.”
“Do you play with the new kids like Annabelle?”
“Yes and James and Ethan, it was Ethan’s birthday today.”
“That is cool, is he three?”
“Yes.”
“What is James like?”
“Cars.” (I think she thought I meant, “What does James like?”)
She paused and then continued.
“And I like house keeping.”
I couldn’t hold back my laughter.
Remember what I said about her being a lot like me? Maybe not in all areas…
