Divine Powers

Like many working Americans, we had four days off for the Thanksgiving holiday.  While it was wonderful to have so much concentrated family time, it was also challenging to have so much concentrated family time.  The challenges stemmed from a few different factors but mostly from two little girls who can go from belly laughs to crying and screaming in an instant.  Whether it was “Eloise don’t hit me! Maaaam, Eloise needs timeout.” or Belén not sharing something that moments earlier became Eloise’s most prized possession or the fact that when they weren’t fighting and crying and were actually playing very well together, the house was getting pillaged, I will just stick with my earlier word and say there were some “challenging” moments.

When we sat down to dinner last night, Andy opened a LaCroix mineral water right before one of the girls erupted into tears.  Andy got up from the table, opened our hutch, pulled out a wine glass and went and filled it with some red wine from the box (we are classy like that.)  He muttered as he sat down at the table with a full glass of vino, “That last episode of drama from the girls just turned my water into wine.”

Who knew they had divine powers?

“While it was wonderful to have so much concentrated family time, it was also challenging to have so much concentrated family time.” Oh, you so hit the nail on the head, Alecia! We experienced the exact same thing up here in NH :)
