I understand about hoping your daughter chooses your passion - it's kind of a bonding thing, too. I was never any good at gymnastics, but I took dance classes when I was in middle/high school and I LOVED every minute of it. Was never fond of shows or though, hated the idea of doing it in front of a public, which my instructor simply couldn't understand, especially because he said I was actually a good choreographer, too.

Be as it may, I do love the idea of the girls loving dance as much as I did - sarah unfortunately takes after her dad and has two left feet, which we discovered after enrolling her in a jazz/modern dance class with a former Broadway performer when we lived in NY (and my hopes were dashed! but I didn't give her a hard time) but Stella will be given the chance too, and I am really crossing my fingers that she will take to it and be better at it that her sister did/was.

Let's see if crossing our fingers works ;-)

It's always fun to read what your girls are up to since my kids are the same age. Nursing is definitely getting more difficult as the baby's attention is drawn to everyone and everything. Doing it in public is pretty much impossible at this point! I, too, have been freezing tons of milk lately. He loves his solids, so I guess he just doesn't need/want as much milk.

Cute pic of the tub!

I'm so excited to attend B's next "nastics" class. I'm sure I'll feel a bit nostalgic as I watch her and think back to when you were doing very similar activities in your gymnastics classes. Are they still playing the sames songs that they seemed to replay a thousand times as each child competes? I find myself smiling when I hear one of them every once in a while on the radio/tv. I must admit I feel a bit of déjà vu these days when I have the pleasure of watching Eloise and Belén play with one another. It takes me back to what seems like not so very long ago when our two beautiful little daughters, Alecia Dawn and Anna Marie, played for hours with one another. It is so much fun to watch so many similar interactions play out once again. Delightful! Love, Mom/Nana

I know I'll have this same issue once we start doing activities! Linnea has already been in a dance class, but she stood on the sidelines and watched--wouldn't dance at all! She would, however, come home and do the moves she learned. Socially, she just wasn't ready for the class. My husband and I were both college athletes, so I hope that our kids will be athletic. I'm pretty open to different sports than what we did, but I must admit that I am less excited about some of the sports that I perceive to be more dangerous (hockey, for example).

I love reading/seeing your vacation. The picture of Belen in the street with the pigeons is priceless. I also really like the one of Eloise with the mountains behind her. Gorgeous!!!
