This is the only way I have seen this guy workout. He cranks up the incline and grabs ahold of the top of the television. Seems to me like he is going to bust the TV right off. I wonder if they used this sort of usage as a test case at the Precor R&D headquarters?
My friend Amy asked me if I had tried almond butter as it is apparently better for you than peanut butter. After a little research, I don’t necessarily think almond butter is all that much more healthy than the Adam’s peanut butter I consume at least a couple mornings a week, but it has more Vitamin E and magnesium than peanut butter.
While reviewing resumes I am often surprised by the resumes. When I graduated from college, it was a “rule” that resumes must be on a single sheet of paper. While, I agree this is difficult to do and have spent countless hours over the years revising mine to fit, in my mind the rules have not changed and resumes should fit on to the front-side of a single sheet of paper.
Here is how the giveaway works. I will give away a long strand of fresh water pearls to one lucky commenter on my blog. I will randomly choose a comment on a post dating between January 1, 2010 and November 30, 2010. The person who wrote the comment will win the pearls. What that means to you is the more comments you leave equals a higher chance of winning the lovely pearls. Think of each comment as an entry into the contest. Oh and if the comment author chosen by the random number generator is me, I will draw again until it is someone who is not me and I have a way to contact.
Quinoa pronounced “kwi-noa” is grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. It originates in the Andes region of South America. Its protein content is 12 – 18%.
Today I learned about a new website called “Business 2 Blogger” at www.business2blogger.com. The slogans on the site say things such as “where businesses and bloggers play nicely” and “we connect businesses and bloggers.”
Reading more closely, bloggers can benefit from the site because Business2Blogger is promises to “level the playing field by giving you firsthand notification of PAID posting opportunities in your inbox alongside the Blogging giants.” While businesses can “harness the power of blogger influence ” and gain instant access to targeted bloggers who can grow their brand. Oh and did I mention “IT IS FREE!”?
Do not be fooled…this is not a baking or cooking blog. I am definitely not a cook even though I occaionally try. I do enjoy baking from time to time, but mostly for the end result. So, when the end result turns out so tasty, I feel compelled to share.
This past weekend, I made two delicious desserts. The first was for a dinner with some friends at our house. I made this French Silk Pie recipe at the recommendation of my sister.
One of the guy’s on my team at work had a birthday on Monday so I made this carrot cake which has over 2000 positive reviews on allrecipes.com
Today seems like just some other day to us right now, but I look at this picture of Belén with Obama in the background and I wonder if it will ever be a picture that Belén will be proud to display. Is Obama going to be one of those truly great presidents we all think back to in worse times or will his popularity fizzle out like so many others with his incredibly difficult job? Maybe Belén will be a political persona someday and this picture will exemplify that she was passionate about politics from a young age. Or maybe, it is just number 21,349 of the cute pictures of our daugther.
If I do say so myself, I think it is a pretty good bribe.
I plan to have the details on the contest up by the end of this month which I guess means the end of this week.
Keep your dials tuned to this blog.
Even after giving my sister THREE of the cutest pairs I bought while living in Shanghai, I still have a couple of pairs of shoes that are so small my feet hurt by noon. I wore them today and by this evening I thought I would need to give both pairs to Anna as well…until I started cleaning out my gmail account and found this video.
