I apologize if this is old news, but it was new to me. I don’t really watch much TV and my RSS reader was sorely neglected this week. Have you seen the Huggies diapers that look like jeans? Apparently this is a topic of debate amongst the mommy bloggers of the world. I think it’s [...]
My sister purchased a pair of Rainbow flip flops a few years back and I remember her agonizing how brutal they were to wear while she broke them in. Ever since she finished with the breaking in process she has raved about how comfortable the flip flops are to the point where I almost wanted [...]
I promise not to take too much advantage of my foodie friends on Twitter because I know they are busy creating fabulous meals to eat and blog about at www.blahtota-daa.blogspot.com and www.saltyseattle.com . But it sure is nice having access to some of the culinary elite and I thank Twitter for making this possible.
Let me clarify. I am not cheap, especially around tipping…I usually leave at least 20%…but I also have a problem with the excessive tipping our culture seems to have fallen into. If I pay $100 for a cut and highlight, is a $20 tip on top of the service I just paid for really necessary?
This is the only way I have seen this guy workout. He cranks up the incline and grabs ahold of the top of the television. Seems to me like he is going to bust the TV right off. I wonder if they used this sort of usage as a test case at the Precor R&D headquarters?
My friend Amy asked me if I had tried almond butter as it is apparently better for you than peanut butter. After a little research, I don’t necessarily think almond butter is all that much more healthy than the Adam’s peanut butter I consume at least a couple mornings a week, but it has more Vitamin E and magnesium than peanut butter.
While reviewing resumes I am often surprised by the resumes. When I graduated from college, it was a “rule” that resumes must be on a single sheet of paper. While, I agree this is difficult to do and have spent countless hours over the years revising mine to fit, in my mind the rules have not changed and resumes should fit on to the front-side of a single sheet of paper.
Here is how the giveaway works. I will give away a long strand of fresh water pearls to one lucky commenter on my blog. I will randomly choose a comment on a post dating between January 1, 2010 and November 30, 2010. The person who wrote the comment will win the pearls. What that means to you is the more comments you leave equals a higher chance of winning the lovely pearls. Think of each comment as an entry into the contest. Oh and if the comment author chosen by the random number generator is me, I will draw again until it is someone who is not me and I have a way to contact.
Quinoa pronounced “kwi-noa” is grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. It originates in the Andes region of South America. Its protein content is 12 – 18%.
Today I learned about a new website called “Business 2 Blogger” at www.business2blogger.com. The slogans on the site say things such as “where businesses and bloggers play nicely” and “we connect businesses and bloggers.”
Reading more closely, bloggers can benefit from the site because Business2Blogger is promises to “level the playing field by giving you firsthand notification of PAID posting opportunities in your inbox alongside the Blogging giants.” While businesses can “harness the power of blogger influence ” and gain instant access to targeted bloggers who can grow their brand. Oh and did I mention “IT IS FREE!”?
